IABCA, Inc.

We are now an independent organization. This is a small change that mostly affects a bit of paperwork and little else. Nearly everything about the way we have done business the past twenty years will remain the same. Such as:

  • All titles issued in the past are unchanged and still valid
  • IABCA can still issue all titles earned at our shows, past and future
  • Our titles are stillnInternational Titles
  • Titles are earned the same way, being judged by the same International judges
  • Same dog show classes
  • Same point title scoring system
  • Same breeds accepted
  • Same mix of AKC, Canadian, and foreign judges
  • Same European-Style shows
  • Each dog still gets a written critique from each judge on our International Judging Panels
    • Exhibitors can still talk to judges, other exhibitors, and club representatives in the same open and friendly atmosphere at our shows
  • Same show entry process
  • Same IABCA Registration process
  • Shows are still popular with exhibitors and judges alike

What changes will we have to make? We’ll make a few small changes, mostly to our paperwork which will no longer mention UCI. We are now incorporated (IABCA, Inc.). Our titles are now issued by IABCA, using the same process, same points, same International judges, same scoring (judged against the breed standard), and issuing International Titles as we have for over two decades.

We now have the ability to make improvements and advance our shows and club. Among the ways we can better serve our customers are:

  • New Companion Classes with International Companion Titles (for spayed/neutered pure-bred dogs)
  • Improved Title Certificates and a faster turnaround
  • Improved Passbooks
  • Improved breed acceptance process
  • Published list of accepted breeds
  • More breed specialties
  • A more open IABCA club
  • A more nimble organization, able to make changes that benefit our customer base
  • Stronger connection with the breed clubs that show with us
  • More ways to benefit clubs for showing with us
  • We’re working on new Judge Advisory Panel and an Exhibitor Advisory Panel

This is in addition to many other ways we’re exploring to help our customers and show them how much we appreciate their continued support. Including special promotions such as our Independence Day Holiday Specials and other offers. As we look toward the future, we keep improving. For 2012 we’re planing an even bigger year:

  • More shows in Canada
  • More Breed Specialties
  • More Int’l Judges from Canada, Europe, South America, etc.

We hope you’ll continue to show with us as we expand and explore new ways to better serve our customers.
